Canadian Flight Delay Statistics
Nightly-refreshed disruption statistics for Canadian flights. The first snapshot window is initializing; the methodology below describes exactly what is published.
Methodology & source
Source: flight status data from AviationStack, a commercial flight-data vendor, polled every 15–60 minutes for Air Canada, WestJet, Flair, Sunwing, Air Transat and Porter. Vendor data may lag or miss some flights.
A disruption is an arrival delay of 60 minutes or more against schedule, deduplicated per flight per day using the longest observed delay.
*“May qualify” counts flights whose arrival delay reached the 3-hour APPR threshold. Flight data cannot show the cause of a delay, which APPR eligibility also depends on — these are upper bounds, not confirmed-eligible counts, and no payout is guaranteed.
